Adrienne Nicole McCoy

January 4, 1985 ~ December 4, 2021 (age 36)

Obituary

Adrienne Nicole McCoy was born in Cincinnati Ohio on January 4, 1985 to Yvette McCoy and Aaron Shelton. Adrienne crossed over to the other side on Saturday, December 4, 2021.
Adrienne’s greatest love was her family. She loved and cherished them dearly especially her nieces and nephews. After her family, her next greatest love was film. She signed her works of art as “loved by Adrienne “A Wodd” McCoy”.
Her passions and talents included beat making, singing, rapping, painting, drawing, photography, and filmmaking.
Adrienne was known to the world as “A Wodd”. Truly loved by every individual she came across from family to friends to coworkers, employers, and customers. When she walked into a room, you knew Adrienne was there.  Her energy was felt not just on a surface level but somewhere deeper. She had the ability to relate to everyone on a heart level. She taught those around her how to silence the voices that hold us back from achieving greatness. She held herself to an unmatchable standard, and held to it every moment of every day.
She spent most of her time in this life writing stories that described her life and the lives of people around her. If she wasn’t writing stories, she was documenting them. Rarely seen without a camera in hand. A true film maker from birth. What came as an idea or dream would turn into words on a page, then words turned into shots on film, eventually coming together to form a full body of work telling a unique story of the world around and within us.
Adrienne attended Western Hills High School. After graduation, she left her hometown to move across the country to Seattle, Washington. During her time in Seattle, Adrienne created a film company named Analyze N See Films “ANS Films”. As any true artists, she had her hands in every aspect of production. Her voice was truly unique and spoke as if she had been here before. Under the name ANS films, Adrienne would go on to enter short films into the Seattle International Film Festival. During her late twenties, Adrienne also pursued a career in technology. Always having a knack for fixing things. She would become a Genius level technician at Apple Inc. She worked for Apple for ten years.
Adrienne spent her last five years living in Los Angeles, California with her Fiancé Cailey Dakota Chambers.
Adrienne was preceded in death by: her grandmothers Mildred Walker, Emma Howard and her brother Dominic McCoy.
She leaves to cherish her life: her parents Yvette McCoy (Victor) and Aaron Shelton; her Fiancé, Cailey Chambers; her grandmother, Beulah Johnson; her uncles, Alfred/Reggie McCoy, Duke Walker, Juwan McCoy, Andre McCoy, Tony Walker and Harold Howard Sr., Jerome Shelton, Daniel Shelton; her aunts, Collette Howard, Mildred Walker, Barbara McCoy, Hope Walker, McGayle Ruff, Tanika Shelton; her sisters, Natasha McCoy, Antonia McCoy, Raeshawna McCoy, Deonica Jones and Vernisha Finch; her brother, Lafayette Bradley Jr., Diano Robertson; her nephews, Robert Bates Jr., Amir McCoy and Armani McCoy;  her nieces, Raelle McCoy, Dalyilah McCoy, Amaree Griffin and Stormi Willis; very special people, Sharene Howard and Belinda Washington along with a host of great aunt, uncles, cousins, and friends.
