We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at McCall Funeral Home
Danielle Nicole Nelloms was born December 20, 1990, to Valerie Nelloms and Calvin Booker, Jr. She went home peacefully to be with the Lord on June 3, 2022.
Danielle devoted her life to Christ at a young age and was an active member of God’s Radical Youth with Purpose (GRYP) Youth Ministry at New Prospect Baptist Church. She later became a young adult leader for the program.
She graduated from Hughes Center (High School) in 2009 and attended Kentucky State University where she played trumpet in the marching band. Danielle went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Cincinnati in 2019.
She loved to cook, watch sports, and sing, and on occasion could be heard leading songs during Sunday worship services with the New Prospect Baptist Church Choir. She also performed with several other gospel ensembles throughout Cincinnati.
Danielle loved people and was an excellent mentor, especially to children. She worked as a dedicated pre-school teacher at the YMCA Christ Child Daily Nursery in Over-the-Rhine. She always gave her all in love, support, and encouragement to others when needed.
Her kindness and loving smile will be missed.
Danielle leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Valerie Nelloms and father, Calvin (Delores) Booker, Jr.; brother, RaeShaun Booker; sisters, LaShawnda Booker, Bretney and Whetney Allie; maternal grandmother, Opheila Miller; paternal grandfather, Calvin Booker, Sr.; maternal great-grandmother, Eula Devant; close cousin, Krystle Booker; special mentor, Tracy L.
