Henry Sanford “Tribble” Duncan. was born October 19, 1937.
Henry, also known by all family members as Sanford, was the son of Lillie Bell “Auntie”. She instilled in him what it is to love people and treat them as you would want to be treated. He was born in Lawrence County, South Carolina. His father, Mr. Tribble died while serving our country in the military. Sanford and his mother along with other family members, the Fants and the Martins, traveled North to Cincinnati, Ohio to start a new life. Their journey of the unknown, the unpredictable, their struggles and nothing but faith in God is what has given our family the strength we have today.
Sanford was baptized at a early age. He was a member of Brown Chapel A. M. E. church.
If you visited Lincoln Crawford Nursing Home you were greeted in the lobby with a smile and saluted by Sanford. He along with the Receptionists, La-Vern Sutton and Elinor Walker were a family team since 2007.
Sanford worked for the Quality Inn Hotel for many years. He had a strong love for his favorite baseball team, the Cincinnati “Reds”. He also had a love for drawing cartoons on any scrap paper he could find. His smile, and his laughter will be forever in our hearts.
