Maureen Langford went home to see the Lord on April 25, 2020. Maureen was the seventh eldest of nine children born in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 7, 1960 to Gertrude Edwards Long and Earl Edwards, both of whom preceded her in death.
Maureen grew up in Cumminsville, Ohio and graduated from Hughes High School in 1979. She went on to work as a PCA for several years, before graduating from Scarlet Oaks nursing school in 2000. She worked as a dedicated nurse until the day she was called home. She devoted her life to helping others and providing comfort and care to those in need. She always chose to see the good in every person she met and every situation she encountered. She lived her life as if God was walking with her every moment. She was an avid traveler and enjoyed learning new things. She cherished all of her grandchildren and spent as many moments with them as she could. One of the things that is going to be the most missed by those carrying her legacy was her smile and laughter.
She has joined her sisters Leomia Burt and Juanita Edwards, who preceded her in death.
Her memory will be carried on by her four children: Michael Steven, Terri Cherrell, Brandon Lee (Bianca) and Brittany Nicole, her sisters and brother; Ida Thomas, Kathy Brown, Valerie Williams, Earlene Johnson, Gloria Edwards and Earl Edwards, Jr.; her grandchildren: Harper, Kingston, Chris, Davion and De’Rio.
